And Now You’re Here

My travel schedule remains quite busy, so today’s post will be short.  Today is the feast day of St. Thérèse of Lisieux, a Carmelite nun who lived a short life from 1873 to 1897.

I ran across this in Celtic Daily Prayer, from The Song of Simeon:

And now You’re here–
the light is shining where
the darkness used to be–
and all the world
is a different place…

…and every single day a fresh beginning.

As St. Thérèse once said,  “May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.”

  1. Quite a popular and ‘well-traveled’ saint. I remember lining up a few blocks, this was some few years back, to see the Relics of St Therese when it visited a local parish.

“May you be content knowing you are a child of God.” St. Thérèse of Lisieux

  2. Short maybe but very meaningful to me. Thank you, Brother.

  3. What a blessing it is to know that when we are present our light in shining in the midst of a sin darkened world.

  4. You find the most beautiful prayers. Thanks that he is here.
